What we do (Business model)

Acacia Medicals is a family-focused medication tracking and alert service. Users record medicines, batches, quantities, and expiry dates. The system sends reminders when a medicine is running low or nearing expiry.

• Low stock alerts — reminders when remaining stock falls below the configured threshold.
• Expiry alerts — reminders when a batch expiry date is approaching.
• Channels — WhatsApp alerts (opt-in) and app push notifications.

WhatsApp messaging (Consent / Opt-in / Opt-out)

We only send WhatsApp alerts to recipients who have explicitly opted in and requested notifications for medication reminders. We do not send marketing or unsolicited messages.

• Opt-in: Recipients provide their phone number and request to receive alerts.
• Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message, or contact us to be removed from alerts.
• Message content: Informational reminders only (medicine name, low stock, or expiry date).

Important note

Acacia Medicals does not sell medicines and does not provide medical diagnosis or emergency services. Alerts are informational to help families manage refills and replacements on time.

Privacy

To send reminders, we may store: phone number (for alert routing), device notification token (for push), and medicine names/batch info you enter. Data is used only for reminders.

• Security: We restrict access to project systems and limit data to what is needed for reminders.

Compliance

Our messaging is intended to comply with WhatsApp Business Policy requirements: opt-in only, clear identity, easy opt-out, and no gated/under-construction website.
